Important Information/Terms & Conditions

Please read the following carefully before placing your order and making enquiries 😊

Please ensure you include as much information in your initial enquiry such as dates, cake size/portions required, design, colour scheme, cake flavour etc. Any photos you can provide will also assist in making enquiries.

All orders are taken under the following Terms & Conditions.

I am a fully registered, insured home based cake maker with a level 2 certificate in Food Safety & Hygiene and hold certification in Allergy Awareness. I also hold a 5* FSA rating with Wakefield Council.

All quotations are valid for 7 days and any orders placed after expiry will need to be re-quoted.

All cake orders require a minimum 14 days notice although late orders can be accepted at my discretion.

Your order is only secured after your booking fee is received and dates will not be held. Booking fee payments are accepted via direct bank transfer and remaining payment accepted as cash on collection or bank transfer cleared funds the day before. I will send a message which then acts as your receipt and your order is then fully confirmed. I do reserve the right to ask for payment in advance depending on the cake ordered but this will be discussed at the time of your request. In the event of cancellation all booking fees are non-refundable.

If any unforseen circumstances arise and I am unable to meet your order ie illness, family emergency, all monies paid will be refunded and I will endeavour to help you find a replacement cake maker where possible.

Any changes to your order must be in writing and no less than 14 days prior. This may incur an additional charge depending on the level of change.

Collection date changes are not accepted unless extreme circumstances arise and are also subject to availability. Please ensure that the date you book is the collection date you need so I can book your order in correctly. Collection days are Tuesday-Friday 9.30am-7pm and Saturday 9.30am-12pm. Delivery service is available at an extra cost, please ensure this is stated on your enquiry/order as this cannot be added once your order is confirmed.

You will receive a final confirmation of your order 3-5 days before and it will be at this point the time of collection will be arranged. Where I will always endeavour to accommodate your preferred time this isn't always possible so flexibility is politely asked for. As there may be other orders leaving on the same day I also politely ask that you keep to your collection time agreed.

As with all baked goods there is a recommended consumption time of 48 hours on cakes/cupcakes. Fondant covered cakes are recommended at 72 hours from collection to ensure they are at their best. Further information will be provided with your order.

Specific dietary requirements should be discussed at the time of your initial request and confirmed when your order is finalised. As an example your cake may contain gluten, milk, eggs, soya, nut traces etc which can cause allergic reactions. Kelly's Cake Kitchen will not be held responsible for any reaction to third party consumers. It is your responsibility as the purchaser to ensure your guests are informed correctly. An individual list of allergens can be provided in advance and will be included with your completed order.

Once your order is collected it is transported at your own risk. Please ensure you have a flat area in your vehicle as I accept no liability for any damage caused due to incorrect transport/storage.

In the unlikely event you have a complaint with your order then it must be raised within 24 hours of the collection time. A minimum of 75% of your order must be returned within the time. If your complaint is deemed to be reasonable I am happy to work with you towards a satisfactory outcome for both parties. I reserve the right to consult an independent third party for an unbiased opinion if required.

Photos of your cake order will be shared on social media platforms as it showcases my work and is part of my portfolio. The photos are water marked and are my intellectual property, should you wish to share on your page as the purchaser please feel free however please consult for permission should a 3rd party wish to share.
